I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology with Minors in Sociology and Child, Youth, & Family Studies from the University of Nebraska- Lincoln in the Spring of 2011. I quickly followed that by pursuing a Master's degree in Community Counseling at the University of Nebraska - Omaha, which I received in December 2013. During my time in college I completed four internships and two practicums. The lessons gained from these varied experiences set a foundation for my clinical career which still affects my approach as a therapist to this day.
Following my graduation in 2013, I spent the next seven years working for nonprofit organizations in Nebraska and Colorado and received my License as a Professional Counselor in Colorado in June of 2016. I greatly value the experience I gained and the wealth of different client needs I was able to support in my time as a therapist with these nonprofit organizations. In late 2018 I started Pelletier Counseling as a small side project to explore the possibility of creating a small practice focused on supporting the needs of clients in the Northern Colorado area. The driving force behind this practice was to give total and complete focus on the overall quality of support given, rather than just the quantity of clients served, an issue I found time and again at different larger organizations. I have been extremely lucky to find my Northern Colorado community in support of this concept, as Pelletier Counseling has grown into the practice you see represented on this website today.
Beyond my role as a therapist, I tend to spend my time fully enjoying everything Colorado has to offer. I love to spend as much of my time as is possible outdoors, whether that be golfing, hiking, or taking my daughter to the park, I always love time spent in fresh air with the people I cherish.
